1. Install the impeller on the pump shaft of the vacuum pump, and then install the front and back side covers to adjust the axial clearance.
2, The water ring vacuum pump pump upside down, placed on the support, the pump shaft suspended, so that a certain side of the cover is supported on the support, the pump gravity makes the impeller close to the supported side of the cover, at this time between the impeller and the other side of the cover, obviously is the vacuum pump on both sides of the axial clearance sum, the total gap can be measured by the following method.
3, Put the dial gauge seat on the side cover, the pointer contacts with the top of the vacuum pump pump shaft, and adjust to zero, and then use the pry bar to pry the end of the pump shaft (that is, the section of the pump shaft facing down), until the impeller is completely in contact with the top side of the cover, then the number indicated by the dial gauge is the total axial clearance. If the total axial clearance exceeds the specified value, it can be adjusted by appropriate methods. The thickness of each gasket is specified, and the number of gaskets can be calculated in advance.
4. After the total axial clearance is qualified, after all components of the water ring vacuum pump are assembled, the axial clearance at both ends is evenly distributed by screwing the shaft sleeve nut, pushing the impeller to move on the shaft, and then pushing the impeller, so that there is no friction sound between the impeller and the side cover. Of course, this adjustment method does not guarantee that the axial clearance at both ends is exactly equal.
