Classification and distinction of centrifugal pumps
2024-12-14 15:04Centrifugal pumps are divided according to the structure, usually divided into single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump, single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump and multistage centrifugal pump, respectively, and vertical and horizontal points, the horizontal centrifugal pump is the most widely used.
1) Single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump, only one impeller is installed, the liquid enters from the axial side of the impeller, the impeller is radially spit out, the Angle between the inlet and the outlet is 90 degrees, the flow rate of this pump is small and the head is high.
2) Single-stage double-suction centrifugal pump, also only one impeller is installed, the impeller of the double-suction pump is equivalent to two single-suction impeller that share the rear wheel, the liquid enters by both sides of the impeller (that is, there are two water intakes), and then joins into a pump housing. The suction inlet and outlet of the double suction centrifugal pump are under the axial line of the pump, and the axis is perpendicular to the horizontal direction. No need to disassemble the inlet and outlet water pipes and motors during maintenance. From the rotation direction, the pump rotates clockwise, and can be changed to counterclockwise rotation according to user needs. Under the same impeller diameter, the flow rate is twice that of the single suction pump.
3) Multi-stage centrifugal pump, is a pump shaft in a series of a number of single suction impeller, water flow from the first stage impeller flow through the front and rear guide vane to the hind stage of the impeller inlet side, the energy of the water is also increased step by step, the pump head also increases with the level of the impeller. So the head of the multistage pump is very high.
