The difference between self-priming pump and centrifugal pump

1) The self-priming pump is composed of suction chamber, liquid storage chamber, vortex chamber, liquid return hole, gas-liquid separation chamber, etc.

The working principle of the self-priming pump is: before the pump starts, fill the pump shell with water (or the pump shell itself contains water). After starting, the impeller rotates at high speed to make the water flow in the impeller groove to the vortex shell, then the inlet forms a vacuum, so that the inlet check valve is opened, the air in the suction tube enters the self-priming pump, and reaches the outer edge through the impeller groove. Self-priming pump is a self-priming centrifugal pump, which has the advantages of compact structure, easy operation, smooth operation, easy maintenance, high efficiency, long life, and strong self-priming ability. There is no need to install the bottom valve in the pipeline, and only need to keep the quantitative primer stored in the body of the self-priming pump before work. Different liquids can be self-priming pumps of different materials.

2) Centrifugal pump is composed of six parts, namely impeller, pump body, pump shaft, bearing, sealing ring, packing box.

The working principle of centrifugal pump is: the use of impeller rotation to make the water centrifugal movement to work. Before the pump is started, the pump shell and the suction tube must be filled with water, and then the motor is started, so that the pump shaft drives the impeller and water to do high-speed rotating movement, and the water has centrifugal movement, is thrown to the outer edge of the impeller, and flows into the pressure water pipe of the pump through the flow channel of the spiral pump shell. The centrifugal pump must be equipped with a bottom valve at the lower end of the inlet pipe or with an extraction device at the outlet.
